Dyamanti (Diamonds Bisaya)

Jeez, I can’t believe it’s been a year since I released my last remake. Sorry to keep you waiting (just in case you’re waiting).

I’ve actually been working on a handful of remakes but all of them are put on hold due to my schedule or some technical constraints. However, since I found some time lately to again express my creative side, I seized the chance and recorded a remake. I chose Rihanna’s #1 hit “Diamonds”.

Lanog-Lanog (Super Bass Bisaya)

I admit it took a while for me to finish this one but finally it’s done and out!

This time, I took a break at remaking pop divas’ hits and instead, explored a more challenging and fast-paced tune by the Trinidadian-born American rapper Nicki Minaj.

“Super Bass” is undoubtedly Minaj’s most successful single worldwide including the Philippines, wherein at one point, it was heavily played on the radio, clubs, TV shows and local dance competitions. Well, with its captivating musical and lyrical arrangements, I must say it does deserve the fame it has achieved thus far…just as deserving to have its own Cebuano remake (with all humility. LOL!) from me. It was quite a challenge though but I made it.

Natawo’ng Ing-ani (Born This Way Bisaya)

I think a lot of my friends have been waiting for this since I started generating buzz as early as 3rd quarter of 2011. Well…feels right now. Ha!

Lady Gaga's Born This Way single cover

Being Lady Gaga’s most successful track, and a song covered by a lot of artists and artist wannabes, not to mention the inspiration it has brought to listeners esp. the LGBT community, “Born This Way” really deserves to be in the spotlight for quite a time upon its release. And the moment it went #1 in almost all charts and achieved uber-popularity, I was like, “this has to have a Cebuano version”. Then, the translation process went right away, which didn’t take so long.

Tulo (3 Cebuano Version)

Finally uploaded one of my earlier remakes!

I’m actually planning to re-upload them all just so I can have an online library of my musical translation works. It was all there on imeem, but imeem’s gone so, I gotta do it all over again. Should I be mad?

So better check ‘em out soon!

For now, indulge yourself by listening to my year-old-turning-two remake of Britney Spears’ “3”. Also try to watch its accompanying short music video (and behind-the-scenes) on my YouTube channel.

Plus, check out its full-length encore music video due this weekend. :)

Seems I’ve done a lot of promotions to this song, eh?

Maybe I just love Britney! Haha.

Butang Nga Wa’ Jud Ma-akoa (Best Thing I Never Had Cebuano Version)

Are you ready? Please don’t expect I’m gonna croon like Beyoncé, ok.

What you’ll hear is an imperfect, low-pitch yet beautiful rendition/destruction of her song translated as “Butang Nga Wa’ Jud Ma-akoa”.

Please appreciate it whether or not you think it’s not worth appreciating for. Haha.

Enjoy and laugh hard!
